Harington Place

Harington Place is on Map 2c, but is not shown on the map. Harington Place connects Barton Street to Queen Street, but neither of these are named on the map so it is better to find it by description. Harington Place is the little street that is parallel to Wood Street, and just south of it.

According to the street directory, there were two other buildings in Harington Place: Number 4, a residence; and Harington House, the premises of Baker & Son, chair and cabinet manufacturers. The fact that both are not mentioned by the City Engineer suggests that they were undamaged rather than accidentally omitted.
