Grove Street
Grove Street is on Map 2d, and is named on the map. Grove Street runs between Argyle Street and the southern end of St Johns Road.
The City Engineer has not been consistent in his listing of Grove Street addresses. Some are on his Historic Buildings list, some on his Business Premises list and some on his Industrial Premises list. I have combined these into a single list below.
The City Engineer's lists also have errors in the numbering of premises: it looks as though buildings were counted along rather than having the actual address checked, so that "extra" numbers like 18a cause subsequent addresses to be wrong. The lists also have a block of addresses shown as a Mineral Water Factory, when it is clear from the Business Directory that three different companies operated from these buildings. I have corrected all these from the street directory.
Finally, The City Engineer has shown Bathwick School with a Grove Street Address when it should have had a St John's Road address. I have moved this to its correct page.
