Note that on the map, Eastbourne is shown as the name of the road. However, the buildings called Eastbourne are only on the south side of the road; on the north side of the road, they are named Eastbourne Avenue.
To confuse the situation even further, the area is known as Claremont, and that roadway named Eastbourne on wartime maps, has become on modern maps a continuation of Claremont Road, and so Eastbourne and Eastbourne Avenue have become named terraces in Claremont Road.
