Cross Lane ran between Monmouth Street and Kingsmead Street, opposite where the two roads (Princes Street and Beaufort Square, though neither are named) share a junction onto Monmouth Street. Cross Lane was a pedestrian route (like Bridewell Lane is today) rather than a road.
Cross Lane no longer exists; Kingsmead Flats now occupy that area.
