The remains of the Tea Room
According to a firefighter who attended, incendiaries came through the roof and set fire to the ballroom ceiling, then fell through the ceiling to set fire to the ballroom itself.
By the time equipment had been connected to a working water source to tackle the blaze, the fire had spread to the Large Octagon and Small Octagon.
